Replication taking ~24 hours with 1 Gbit/s upload!

Thread needs solution

UntiI now, I've always used the perpetual versions of ATI. With release of ATI 2020 I decided to give the subscription a try. The replication feature sounded just like what I've been looking for.

Yesterday, I did my first back-up using the feature. While the back-up to my external HDD went smoothly, the replication is incredibly slow! I've to wait almost 24 hours for it to finish (for about 360 GB). And no, it's not my slow internet connection! I'm on fiber 1 Gbit/s synchronous connection. Microsoft OneDrive for example is incredibly fast also with uploading to the cloud. However, OneDrive cannot handle large files such as the tib/tibx resulting from ATI.

If this "speed" is normal with Acronis Cloud, renders the replication feature close to useless for me. I'm located in Switzerland btw. if that matters.

Matthias, welcome to these public User Forums.

If your Internet connection is truly rated at 1Gbps for both download and upload speeds, then your 360GB backup file should have been capable of being uploaded in around 1 hour, assuming a constant upload speed.

I have not seen any documents stating what transfer rates the Acronis servers are capable of handling for connections from a single user system and I would guess that this depends on how many connections are being handled and what other loads the servers are dealing with etc.

I can only recommend opening a Support case direct with Acronis to ask about this issue.  Replication is intended to run in the background without preventing other ATI 2020 backup tasks or operations from being performed at the same time, so such connections may be subject to some throttling on the servers so as to not deny service to other cloud backup operations.
