SSD backup - no files archived:

Thread needs solution

Acronis True Image 2020

I successfully created a full backup of my HP laptop. The resulting tibx file contains a backup with readable files using Windows 11 File explorer.

Then I created two separate full backups (about a week apart) of a Samsung T7 SSD portable USB drive attached to the HP laptop (with the Samsung security mode disabled). When viewed using Windows 11 File Manager both the original tibx and newer tibx-0001 were shown as having appropriate size and dates. However on navigating down they both contained identical backups with the date corresponding to the later tibx-0001 archive? Additionally, on opening the backups, both contied no files?

As a backup of an unencrypted SSD, why does the backup files in two seprate tibx files contain identical timestamps? Why are the individual files not visible?  Any suggestions?

Paul, welcome to these public User Forums.

What you are seeing is correct / normal operation for how the new .TIBX files work with ATI 2020, 2021 & ACPHO when looking at files for the same backup version / version chain, i.e. that have the same stem backup name (T7 (E)).

As to why individual files within the backup files are not visible will depend on the file system used on the original drive that was backed up and whether Explorer can handle that system.

Can you see the backup content when looking at the Recovery panel for the backup task within the Acronis GUI application?
