- Uninstall ATI once more,
- Use the ATI clean-up tool
- Reboot the computer and make sure that the Acronis folder under "C:\programdata" is deleted. For good measure, delete any Acronis folder in the user profile C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming
- Reinstall ATI.
See if the problem subsists

Attempting to isolate what is happening. If you select a backup task and click on the V just to the right does it show full list of options or only Clone and Delete?

All are telling me to uninstall, or run Repair. But you have you tried to add an existing Image. Switch to the Activity Screen, to see that it is populated.
Close Acronis True Image.
Now simply re-open Acronis and go to the imported image and to the Activity Screen.
Does it remain populated or not, when viewing it again?

Looking at your screenshots I notice that you have a backup selected that is under the Other category in the list of tasks and that this backup needs to be reconfigured.
I tested this out on my install. What I found was that if I select a backup in the Other category, the Activity tab is greyed and cannot be selected. If I reconfigure the task or click on the reconfigure button and then re-select the backup source then this moves the task up the list into the This computer category and the Activity tab can then be selected and shows that the task was configured on today's date and time.
I have another task in the Other list that also shows Activity tab greyed.
If I select the Recover tab on either of these tasks then the app will search for the backup files and when found will display the file information. If I choose not to reconfigure a task then the activity tab remains greyed.
Closing and the opening TI again do not change this behavior. So I believe this to be expected behavior. I cannot explain why your Activity tab is not greyed for certain but I suspect the reason is that your tasks are on local disks and mine are Cloud backups. In the case of cloud backup, Activity is not available for my tasks whereas it must be available locally I would guess.
My bet is that if you would reconfigure the tasks and get them out of the Other list Activity views would return to normal for you.

Hi Enchantech ,

The purpose of Adding an existing Backup, is not to Reconfigure the Backup, but it would be Restore the Backup, if I needed to. That's why I add Comments to every Backup created.

With the exception of Mobile Backups, all my Backups are Full Backups. I never use Incremental Backup Scheme. So Activity Tab is selectable for me.for all Manually added images. I never reuse a Task to Backup again.
My Complain is that after I add an existing Backup to Acronis, the Activity Tab is indeed populated, but when I close Acronis and go back and Open Acronis again. Then go back to that Backup and select Activity Tab, the tab is blank. The information is not shown again.
All my Backups are local, none are on the Cloud.

I understand your complaint. Even though my backups in the Other category are cloud and yours are not there should be no difference in behavior. So based on that I still recommend that you perform a Repair install. In my view your experiencing an issue with Explorer integration that may hove not gone well during your install/upgrade process. A Repair install should correct that.

I'm not sure why the comments wouldn't at least be presented in the recovery tab after selecting the backup too, since that is where they would be the most useful!
I don't use comments very often. Just took a couple of backups with mock comments to test though. Althought they are a bit "hidden" (OK, not hidden, but may not be easily noticed if you haven't used them before like me), they dod show up in the rescue media during recovery.

Hi Bobbo_3C0X1 ,
I'm confused by your reply. I do not use the Bootable Rescue CD. It has got nothing to do about my post.
Not looking to recovery, just to see the Comments from Imported existing images on the Activity Tab.

I was just pointing out that since the rescue media can see the comments during a recovery process, the Acronis True Image, in the Windows OS GUI should also show the comments in the recovery tab - especially during a recovery process. This would be in addition, or in lieu of seeing them on the activity tab in my opinion.

In my case, yes once repopulated, it remained so and still does. I didn't use the add existing backup because the backup was still showing up as set up in the backup tab. If you uninstall ATI completely, you will remove the database and the backup scripts and you will have to add the backup back. If you just delete the database, the activity history is gone but you just need to act on the backup (I did a new backup, someone else used a validation) to "reconnect" the backup and recreate a database file.
Doesn't this work for you? If you have already uninstalled, you will have to add the backup back. Make sure you add the main TIB file, not any TIB file with a -000x.TIBX name format. Then you will have reconfigure the backup (recreate the script). If at this point the backup menu and/or the recovery tab is still inactive or is not staying, use the "delete the database" approach.

Hi Pat L ,
I am talking about the Activity Tab with Add Existing Images. I dual boot with my Desktop Tower. I always restore one operating system from the other operating system. So I need to see the Activity Tab and see what is contained in the image, version-wise, as I include the Version Numbers in the Comments.
Example:
Created on September 7, 2019 - Contains Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Build 18975.1000 is activated. Fully patched. This Build expires on July 31, 2020 @ 6:41 PM. Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise is installed and activated. Open Office 4.1.6 Version is installed. TeamViewer 14 is installed. Glary Utilities 5.127.0.152 is installed and activated. CCleaner Free Version 5.61.7392 is also installed. WinTV 8 is installed. Beyond TV is also installed. Waterfox 56.2.14 is installed. Roboform Version 7.9.28.8 is installed. Skype Version 8.51.0.92 is installed. Acronis True Image 2020 Beta Build 20170 is installed and activated. Java 8 Update 221 is installed in both 32-bit and 64-bit. Epson WF-2760 All-in-One Printer Drivers and Software installed. Added XFX Graphics Card w/ 1 GB of Memory on the card on Dec. 2, 2016. Computer is lockdown.

I am not quite sure I fully understand your process. I understand you have 2 versions of the OS+apps installed (let's say T for test, and P for production). Let's say you use T to test and validate changes, then once validated you restored the validated changes on P as the "production" vversion, and you continue modifying T.
Is this your process?
You say you have dual boot. What is the setup you use to do so? Do you have 2 different hard disks set up, one for each T & P, or is one of them a virtual machine?
