Unable to boot after cloning SSD
I work for a public school and have used ATI for years to clone disks and it has always worked very well but I now have a new Windows 10 PC that will not boot after restoring a disk image to it which was made from an identical disk & PC. When we power it on it displays these Windows options:
- Continue (this just reboots and stops here again)
- User a device
- Troubleshoot
- Turn off PC
I created Rescue Media on one partition of a Samsung 250 GB SSD and use the second partition to store the images. After this failed the first time, we created a new image from the working PC. ATI said the operation completed successfully. We restored the image to the target PC. Again, ATI said the operation completed successfully. The PC still stops at the same point as before. Here are some details:
The PCs are brand new Acer Predator Orion 3000 PO3-630.
Secure Boot is disabled.
ATI 2021, build 39287, perpetual license
Windows 10 Pro, OEM installed
I usually do a clean installation of Windows Education on new PCs but for reasons that do not matter here, we didn't. I wonder if that may be a factor.
I did run system reports for both PCs using the ATI utility. This is the data for the target disk. The data for the source disk is identical except for in the "ABCHSV" column. The source disk has an e in the three lines where there is a c shown below. Any suggestions on what to do next would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you very much. This is very helpful. I will perform the disk checks as suggested.
Where can I find documentation for the System Report?

Tim, there is no specific information for the full System Report contents, most of which comprises of capturing all the various logs that Acronis generates during normal operations.
See KB 1638: Acronis Disk Report - for where I found the image for the disk report information.
Download a copy of the MVP Assistant log viewer tool and use this to look at the logs to see if they show any issues during the operation process?
The latest version of the new log viewer tool is at the link below.
MVP Assistant update for Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office (Version 1.1.6.0)
If you have Disks & Partitions backups created on ATI 2020 or later using .tibx files, then look in the Backup Worker logs.
If you have Files & Folders backups using .tib files (or Disk backups from earlier versions using .tib files) or using Cloning then look in the Demon logs.
Other logs are shown by the MVP Assistant under the 'Active Logs' heading of the Log Viewer page of the Assistant.
The Schedule2 log contains information related to scheduled task but is one of the more difficult logs to read / work through.
The log files should be zipped to preserve their original file names if sharing in the forums and would need to be less than 3MB in size, otherwise you would need to share the zip file via a Cloud share service such as OneDrive, Dropbox etc.
