Unable to create a Simple media builder from Recue Media Builder
Good Morning,
I have tried this on a comuter with Acronis 2016 and now I have purchased Acronis True Image 2020.
Whenever I try to click on Rescue Media and then click on Simple, the application hangs. Does anyone know why this is happening? I am using windows 7 64bit machine.

What type of rescue media are you trying to build here?
Is this for a USB stick or a DVD?
If USB, what size of USB stick are you using?

USB, and this is where I am confused on. Does the media need to me inserted at this point? I am not being prompted for it.

Follow Steve's recommendations first - without knowing anything about you system, it's hard to pinpoint an issue.
General guesses beyond that.....
- How long does it hang? Maybe the system is just slow to start the process based off of available memory, cpu and/or OS health. Win7 here, so we have to assume some it's been around awhile.
- DId you upgrade directly from 2016-2020? The upgrade from before 2017 recommends you uninstall older versions and then reinstall fresh. If not, uninstall True Image, run the cleanup tool (right-click and "run as administrator" even if logged on with an admin account", reboot and then reinstall 2020 "clean". Download the full 2020 installer from your account, right-click it and "run as administrator" even if logged in with an admin account. Reboot when done and then try to create rescue media.
- A repair install might help if you started with a clean install of 2020 instead of an upgrade from 2016. Download the full 2020 installer from your account, right-click it and "run as administrator" even if logged in with an admin account, doing the repair install option, reboot and then try again, may resolve the issue on its own.
And if not, try the advanced builder, and then try to build x64 rescue media with WinRE and then try to build x64 rescue media as the Linux version to see if one works better than the other.
Not sure if you are attempting to build. a .iso, or a .wim, or a bootable flash drive either - each of those could have there own issues, such as Windows having something cached in the "burn-to" queue which is preventing creation of the .iso. Or, you may need to fully format your usb flash drive because of how it was created from another tool (use diskpart clean and then format again as FAT32 - this will wipe all current data and partitions off the flash drive!)

Yes, the USB media needs to be present before you run the media builder tool, plus it needs to be between 2GB and 32GB size, not any larger.
