Universal restore getting "Video mode setup error: Error 0x1480006:" when trying to restore to new HP

Thread needs solution

Old machine = HP 15-AC106TX

Windows 10-21H2

1TB (only 200 Gb used)

New machine = HP 14-dy01911TU

Windows 11 21-H2

256 Gb M2 (then 512 gb M2)

Created backup and universal restore on old machine.

New machine wouldn't accept giving "inaccessible boot device"

Bought Gigabyte AORUS M2 Nvme SSD (512 gb) as thought it was size issue.  Still same error.

Discovered its a known problem on HP as a result of IRST drivers.

Built new machine at windows 10 with new disk and loaded IRST drivers = all worked.

Tried the restore, got the "inaccessible boot device" error.

Tried to run the universal restore and got the video error.shown in title.

Acronis has a solution for a restore issue with the "video mode" error, but I get the error at the universal restore option - not the standard restore option.

Does anyone have a solution or can anyone suggest a better way to get the windows 10 machine restored onto the windows 11 machine?

Please note that Universal Restore is only intended to be used after doing a normal restore using the main Acronis rescue media, it cannot be used to do that restore as its purpose is to resolve driver issues caused by a change in hardware.
