Upgrade ATI 2017 -> ATI 2020
Hi
Under ATI 2017 I programmed numerous tasks. After upgrading to ATI 2020, the tasks no longer appear. But there is a function "Import settings". In ATI 2017 there is no function "Export settings" or "Save settings". How can I reuse my numerous tasks from ATI 2017 under ATI 2020 without reprogramming them from scratch?
Thanks and regards

Hi Steve
First of all thanks very much for your detailed support and sorry for my bad formatted answer The "Preview" feature does not work here.
Normally, if you do an in-place upgrade of ATI from 2017 to 2020, I would expect your backup tasks to still be present in the ATI GUI
That is the behavior I expected, too.
Did you uninstall ATI 2017 before installing ATI 2020?
No I installed ATI 2020 over 2017.
Use the option to 'Add existing backup' and select the most recent .tib file for your ATI 2017 backup which will add a task to the GUI using the name from the file selected. Rename the task to remove the extra _full_ type information, then reconfigure the task settings.
Yes, that mechanism is known to me. That's the solution I had in mind myself if you can't import the tasks.
If you have a backup of your OS drive from ATI 2017, then recover the script .tib.tis files from the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder to the same location on your PC. Do not have the ATI GUI open while doing this, then after launching the GUI the tasks should be shown again but you should check all the settings for the task.
Oh, that sounds subtle and I didn't know that. Yes, I have the tib.tis, several of them, probably one for each task. Is that true?
Thanks again and regards

Walt, there may be more .tib.tis files in the Scripts folder than the number of your tasks you have as ATI also adds files for doing such as validation.
The easiest way to test, is to open the files in a text editor and look for the task name near the top of the file.

Everything ok, I am happy. Thanks again.
