verify Acronis nightly runs
Currently, I have an issue with Malwarebytes and have been working with support. They stated the following
Error: (08/26/2021 10:55:00 PM) (Source: Acronis Scheduler) (EventID: 1) (User: NT AUTHORITY)
Description: Scheduler failed to run the task with GUID '4CF2AA42-064C-4C6F-AFFF-615F303A6D80' because of error 2 (Failed to find the file (folder) or the key (value) in the registry.).
How do I verify that Acronis does not have an issue?
When I open Acronis and select Backup in the left nav pane, at the bottom of the window Acronis reports "The backup is valid". I assume this is for the latest backup. I'm concerned about all the previous backups I have created.
I schedule Acronis to run an incremental BU nightly, create a full version after every 7 incremental and to store 5 recent version chains.

The only file in the Scripts folder is 632E3077-DDD6-474B-822D-3CEA088FF761.tib.tis thus I do not have a match.
I looked at the ZIP file that Malwarebytes Support Tool created and in the file "mbst-grab-results.zip\Other Logs\FRST\Troubleshooting" I do see the reported failure several times (see the following).
Application errors:

I'm confused as to why Acronis is scheduled to run this script if it does not exist. I have not changed my Acronis settings in a long time. I estimate it has been over a year since the last change.
I see that the time of failure was between 10:20:00 and 10:55:00 PM. Normally I have my backup run in the very early hours of the day. My current Acronis schedule is set to run at 0249 hours.
Suggestions????

John, I would suggest that the errors are genuine and indicate that there is some left over task known only to the Acronis Scheduler.
Download a copy of the Acronis Scheduler Manager tool (link below) and then issue the command 'get list' to see what this shows?
If you do see a task listed with the ghost identifier, then select that task then delete it. Alternatively, issue the command 'task zap' which will clear all tasks from the scheduler, then re-schedule your only task as needed.
