Version 2020 Acronis Cloud-backup
Hi there,
Just activated the trial for Cloud Backup, but am wondering how I assign one of mu backup sets to backup to the cloud; there is no drive letter or somethibg like that.
Many thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Am trying to clone one of my current ones as I have a very specific set of folders to backup. Replicating this into a new backup task would be extremely time-consuming, so am trying to avoid that at all cost.
Currently I do a full backup once a month (keep three versions on rotation) and incremental at least once a week.
Am not looking for an automated backup, want to do it manually. At home I have a symmetric 1gb connection, which should be more than enough, but also travel a lot ending up with crappy hotel-connections.

The Replica function does not work with Files and Folders backups; only works with disks and partitions backup created with ATI 2020 - backups created with ATI 2019 or earlier cannot be replicated.
The way Cloud backups work means that there is no advantage having upload speeds greater than 40 Mbps. My backup speeds rarely exceed 25 Mbps, and occasionally see peak speeds of over 30 Mbps. However big performance increase are seen when working with upload speeds from (all in Mbps) 2 to 5 and from 5 to 36. At least that was my experience.

Am experiencing that as well now, speed is max. 30mb, sometimes dropping to only 9.
Why can't I use the fill 1gb (effectively around 930mb)? This is kinda useless if other cloud services do support higher speeds.

Part of the explanation is the time taken for encryption and verification. The process involves a lot of two-way traffic, as the backup is sector based not file based, so this may slow down the process. Being a 32 bit rather than 64bit application may also slow down the process. There could be a significant amount of time during the backup where no upload or download is taking place. Another issue would be server load balancing. This is all speculation on my part.

That would apply to a disc-backup as well then, but that's much, much faster.
