VSS Doctor Questions

Thread solved

I use Acronis strictly to back up files and folders on a 2TB data drive.  A couple of weeks ago the backups started taking inordinately long.  After some reading, I downloaded and ran VSS Doctor.  It identifies a couple of issues, and when I click Fix, I get a pop-up that says it's going to set the max size of my C: drive's shadow storage size to 23GB...and then asks if I know the consequences.

Anyway...No.  I don't know the consequences.  If someone could clear that up for me, that'd be great!

Thanks

The message indicates that maximum free space on disk for shadow copy purposes will be set to 23GB which should be roughly 15% of available free space on your C: disk.  Be advised that when this is done any Windows restore points, if any exist, will be deleted.

Thanks!  I don't use restore points so, if that's the only consideration, would you say I'm okay fixing it?

Yes I would
