Absolute Hellish Experience with TrueImage 2021
I cannot believe a company would roll out an application that hangs with each click of the mouse. The user interface is practically unusable. I have spent the last two hours installing, uninstalling, reinstalling ATI 2021 to try and get it to work. Each click of the mouse is at least a 5 minute wait to get it to move to the next freaking mouse click. This is unreal. Absolutely freaking unreal. ATI 2021 is the worst application update man has EVER created. Why? Who in the company thought this was a good idea to roll out to unsuspecting customers?

I know I have had my share of frustration with True Image, or whatever you want to call it. I don't think frustration catches well how I feel about it. You can read my latest outlash here (waiting up to 14 minutes to go from one section of the interface to another):

I have had this love and hate relationship with True Image for many years. Somehow I have managed to make this marriage work. I don't think the alternatives are much better. Otherwise I would not hesitate much to switch. In fact, my current subscription is due for renewal in less than 14 days and I'm still undecided if I will renew it. I have already canceled the subscription. But again, commercial alternatives are not much better and having a good backup solution is a must.
May I ask what are you clicking on that causes the long delay?
Did you have a better experience with a previous version of True Image?

I was unable to get ATI 2021 to work. I have since given up and rolled it back to ATI 2019 and everything is working beautifully. I will pass on ATI2021. I need to get real work done.

Michael, if you'd like to contribute to the issue investigation and fixing, submit a ticket with Support as per https://kb.acronis.com/content/56079 . It is possible, that Acronis development team requests a remote debug session, if the conventional logs don't reveal the cause of the slaggish GUI.
Thank you!

I'm sorry it had to come to that. I know the feeling! As I recall it, ATI 2019 was a solid release. In fact I upgraded to ATI 2020 since it's free for me as I have a subscription plan. But soon after I had to contact the tech support and request that they give me the download link for the older but still supported ATI 2019 version, and they did. So I skipped ATI 2020 and deferred the upgrade for well over 7 months, and only upgraded when ATI 2021 was nearly released.
I'm still curious about what it is that takes 5 minutes? Anyway, I hope you find good use of ATI 2019.
Sometimes I wish that there was a command line version of True Image. Sadly, command line tools and variants are reserved for business users and products like Acronis Backup & Recovery.

Michael I had the exact same problem as you with ATI 2021 after setting up my new computer. It worked on my old computer just fine. Instead of the latest build from my account I downloaded the oldest build ATI 32010 and it worked fine. No more freezing and having application give me the message, not responding. Hopefully they will fix this soon.
