Acronis 2021 True Image build 30480 on Windows 10 Pro - Unable to change destination

Thread needs solution

Here's a problem I've come across after installing build 30480 of Acronis 2021.

I've been storing images on an external hard drive. I have to internal hard drives. When I try to change the destination of the image before a back up an error message pops up and I am not able to change the image destination location.

I'm running a PC with Windows 10 Pro with 64GB of DDR4 3200 RAM, a Ryzen 3900X CPU, a 1TB  SSD with a Asus Tuf X570 motherbroad.  I will attach photos showing the error that comes up when trying to change image locations.

Gus, welcome to these public User Forums.

All recent versions of ATI have never been designed to work with any backup task going to more than a single designated backup drive destination.

All sorts of issues can arise when users start swapping destination drives for an established task.

The recommendation is and has always been to create separate backup tasks, one task for each backup drive to be used, where each task has a unique task / file name and either runs on a defined schedule or else is run on demand / on drive connection.

See KB 62741: Acronis True Image: rotating backup destination disks requires separate backup plans per destination disk
