Acronis Mobile (Android) Backup to Local Computer over WiFi Only Works the First Time

Thread solved

Computer: Win 10 Acronis 2021 Build 35860 IP: 10.10.10.5

Phone: Samsung Galaxy s9+ Android10 IP: 10.10.10.4

Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab4  Android10 IP: 10.10.10.8

If from mobile if I set up a backup and run it, it works. I have continuous backups enabled. All subsequent backups time out after a couple hundred items and fail. This happens even if I manually initiate the backup. If I then delete the backup and set it up again, it works.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Bill, welcome to these public User Forums.

The latest Android version of the Acronis Backup app looks to have broken things!

I just tested the same scenario with my older Samsung Galaxy J5 phone and had the same results - the first backup was successful but any attempt to run a further backup ended with a connection error along with the number of items to be 'protected' increasing when a new backup is attempted.

Personally, I have given up on using the mobile backup app, it cannot backup very much data because of having no root access.

I can only recommend that you open a support case direct with Acronis Support if you want to get them to investigate this issue with the mobile backup app.

Thank you Steve. I had come to the same conclusions but posted in case I was missing something.
