Acronis Protection - is it working?

Thread needs solution

On my laptop, I have turned on Acronis Protection but the Acronis screen shows 0 files checked for 7 days and 0 files checked today. Also, my Windows 10 Security/Virus and Threat Protection screen shows Kaspersky Security Cloud is turned on whereas my Desktop (where I don't have Kaspersky Security Cloud installed) shows Acronis is turned on. Is the use of Kaspersky Security Cloud compatible with Acronis Protection?

Richard, if Kaspersky Security Cloud is installed and acting as your main security provider then it should be used on its own without Acronis Cyber Protection being enabled, as you should only have one such security provider active on your system to avoid conflicts and performance issues!

See KB 67117: Acronis True Image 2021: using two or more antivirus solutions on the same computer is not recommended

You would need to at a minimum turn off Kaspersky protection and then enable Acronis Protection.  Because both products provide anti-virus protection only one of them can be enabled.  Acronis Protection is designed to respect already installed protection products and so the user must decide which they prefer.  If you choose to use the Acronis solution then uninstallation of Kaspersky is recommended to fully avoid any potential conflicts.

Any recommendation on which service I should use (Acronis or Kaspersky)?

That really has to be your decision / choice Richard, especially if you have an existing subscription to Kaspersky.  You will need to have either an Advanced or Premium subscription for ATI 2021 to use the new Cyber Protection feature.
