Acronis refusing to recover backup
Hello, recently I have made a backup of my computer as I was planning on hackintoshing my desktop and wanted a backup of my windows computer in case something went wrong. The Hackintosh failed so I had to reinstall windows however when I try to recover with the Acronis bootable media, it fails to recover. I can get through all the steps until i press confirm on a summary. The program seems to freeze as I can no longer move the windows except for my cursor and no disk activity occurs on my desktop tower, nor my external hard disk drive where the backup is. I wish to know why this happens as it is extremely frustrating for me as I have things on it that onedrive doesn't save. I'm not sure if anyone else has made a post like this so I apologise and yes, I have validated the backup.

Hi, as for your questions;
I am using a Windows PC running Windows 10 Pro and using ATI 2021 for Windows. For the type of media, I had originally tried restoring the backup through the Windows program and let it run the whole day but it was stuck on "preparing" so I used the bootable media using the Acronis bootable media ISO when using the program wouldn't, but it was able to get through everything besides actually restoring it.

Tasha, thank you for confirming the OS and ATI versions!
Any restore of the Windows OS disk drive should always be performed when booting from the Acronis Rescue media.
For the Rescue Media, you should use the 'Simple' Windows PE version of this to have the best compatibility with the devices / hardware installed in your PC.
See KB 65508: Acronis True Image 2021: how to create bootable media and
