Acronis TI 2021 backup corrupted

Thread needs solution

during backup job message popped up that file could not be closed. I stopped Acronis and restarted th PC. At restarting Acronis message appeared that "backup is corrupted" Knowledge base did not show any search results. Deletin the corrupted file I did not dare.

has anyone a solution?

Werner, sorry but more information is needed here to know what this issue is caused by.

What type of backup was being run?  Disks & Partitions or Files & Folders?

Where was the backup being stored, i.e. Destination?  Internal / external or network drive?

Have you tried using the 'Clean up versions' tool for the problem backup task to try to delete the corrupt backup file using that tool?  This is an option in the drop-down menu when you click on the caret 'v' to the right of the Backup task name.

The logs for the failed backup task may help throw more light on what happened?

There is a new MVP Assistant log viewer tool that has now been made available by Acronis via the Community Tools page.. 

If you have Disks & Partitions backups created on ATI 2020 or later using .tibx files, then look in the Backup Worker logs.

If you have Files & Folders backups using .tib files (or Disk backup using same) then look in the Demon logs.

Other logs are shown by the MVP Assistant under the 'Active Logs' heading of the Log Viewer page of the Assistant.

The log files should be zipped to preserve their original file names if sharing in the forums and would need to be less than 3MB in size, otherwise you would need to share the zip file via a Cloud share service such as OneDrive, Dropbox etc.
