Acronis true image 2021

Thread needs solution

The installation on another computer worked, but the creation of a boot disk failed. Booting did not work, and the contents of the boot disk are not visible in Explorer. Bootdisk on a stick also failed, the stick can no longer be formatted. How can I get ahead?

Rupert, welcome to these public User Forums.

What is the actual size of the current small SSD and how much free space does it have?

Also what type of SSD is this?  Is it a PCIe card type SSD, i.e. a NVMe M.2 or a mSata SSD (that looks like a memory module)?

Ideally, you should try to install ATI 2021 on the computer where you need to create and use the Acronis Rescue Media, so if possible you should try to make some more free space by moving data to an external drive or by uninstalling any large applications (assuming you have the installation media to reinstall later).

One final comment, any boot media needs to be used to boot in the same BIOS mode as used by your Windows OS which you can determine by running the msinfo32 command in Windows then look at the BIOS mode value shown in the right panel.  This should show either UEFI for most modern PC's or else will show either Legacy or the name of the disk drive.

Before uninstalling programs to make space, use Windows Disk Cleanup functionality to get rid of temporary stuff, caches, etc. Also, there may be multiple old restore points that can be removed. It might be that the space needed to install ATI can be recovered easily.
