Acronis True Image 2021 for macOS: Support for M1 - When?

Thread needs solution

The knowledge base article 67868 describes the missing support for the newer Macs with M1 chip.

One of my customer is waiting more than a month for an update. As a bypass, he installed some other backup product but wants to stay with Acronis.

I am also thinking of buying a new MacBook but I do not want to switch to another backup solution.

What is the timeframe for the M1 support?

Hello Andy,

Acronis is working on implementing support for devices with Apple M1 chip. This is a complex project involving several RnD departments, and there is a top focus on delivering support for the new ARM64 architecture within the nearest Acronis True Image 2021 update. You can track the news on newly released updates at https://www.acronis.com/support/updates/ or also check our official KB article on this matter: https://kb.acronis.com/content/67868 - it will be updated once the M1 chip is fully supported.

More than 4 months ago, Apple made the new M1 models available. Since then, I am waiting for the support in Acronis True Image 2021.

When will it be finally available?
