Acronis True Image 2021 Release Slows PC Processor

Thread needs solution

I use a statistic program on my PC that takes 12 hours to run a script each day and after updating the latest version of Acronis True Image 2021, the statistics program now takes 36 hours to run.

As a possible fix, I restored entire hard drive to a version from the day before I installed the recent Acronis upgrade and the statistics program went back to running in 12 hours.  For what it's worth, I'm running a Lenovo professional PC with a high-end processor and 64GB of ram and so I don't think it's the hardware.

How do I elect not to have any more upgrades to Acronis 2021?

James, please can you clarify what version / build of ATI is being used when your program takes 12 hours to run?  Is this still ATI 2021 or is it an earlier version such as ATI 2020?

While you can turn off the automatic check for new updates for ATI 2021 this is not recommended as doing so leaves you vulnerable to any issues that new builds fix.

The first recommendation here would be to update back to the current latest build #34340 of ATI 2021 and then turn off Protection completely (permanently as shown for the options).  Test your script program again and you should see it continuing with the expected 12 hour run time.

If this is the case, then you can decide if you want to re-enable Protection and add a protection exclusion for your script program (recommended to do so), and test that this allows it to perform normally?
