Acronis true image blocks on recover
I've a problema witch acronis true image 2021 cd on boot.
When I try to start the recover image file , the recover does not start. Remains in freeze.
This only appens with the 2021 Acronis True Image Version.
Does anyone have any solutions?
Thanks.

Even using usb stick, the problem persists.
The software Freeze even after loading the gui.
This happens with any pc. If I use acronis 2016 I have no problem.

More details are needed to understand this issue?
What type of Rescue Media are you using?
For the ATI 2018 & later version rescue media, there are 3 different versions available:
Simple: created based on your Windows Recovery Environment for WinPE media.
Advanced: created based on Windows ADK (or AIK for earlier OS versions) - WinPE media.
Advanced: created based on a small Linux distro OS (BusyBox) or created from the .ISO CD image download from your Acronis Account page.
The recommendation is to use the Simple WinPE version of the media for the greatest compatibility with your installed hardware components.

Do you have SSD in you computer?

Please see my post #3 above.
What type of SSD do you have?
What type of PC?

With any SSD sata or M2.
With every type of PC , like ACER Veriton M2710/M2610/ES2730 , ASUS ALL IN ONE PC ET2220 , A6421 ecc.
Only with lenovo server SR series Acronis 2021 works.

Nunzio, how many PC's are you using ATI with here?
When using rescue media with different makes / models and with different disk drive types and connections, then it is always best to create the media on the PC where it is intended to be used in order to have best compatibility and results.
With NVMe M.2 type drives it is always recommended to use Windows PE media, especially if the drive is being used in RAID SATA controller mode.

Previous versions have always worked, as any live linux does. Moving many brands of PCs and having an acronis iso for each model seems somewhat strange to me.

The Acronis rescue media ISO image is the same regardless of the PC it might be used on, this is because there is only one Linux version of the rescue media regardless of whether this is created on the local PC or if the ISO is downloaded from your Acronis Account page.
The Linux media is generalised to work on a wide variety of systems but has limitations when supporting various hardware scenarios involving such as NVMe SSD's, RAID, BitLocker etc.

But the previous version (ATI 2020) works great with these NVMe SSD's.

VVS, agreed that the Linux media can work with some NVMe SSD's as this depends on the SATA Controller mode being used and also which Linux Kernel version of BusyBox Linux is being used for the media.
Acronis typically update the Linux kernel with each new version / build and are known to lose support for some devices that the previous version supported.
The focus by Acronis is on the Windows PE rescue media rather than the Linux media which they provide only because they have no license to distribute Microsoft PE media. The user has to create the PE media themselves as is the case with competitor products too.

From my point of view, updating any product should not degrade its quality.
Or, such a degradation should be documented and accompanied by an error message.

I'm agree with VVS.
I have never had any problems with acronis in the past, the latest version is horrible.

We can all agree on the points being made but it will make no difference here. The MVP's are just other, experienced, users in these forums. We have involvement in the design or the decisions made by Acronis for their application or rescue media.
If you do not like the way Acronis do things or that something doesn't work in the way you expect, then your only recourse is to open a Support Case direct with Acronis to report the issue.
For my self and my PC's, the new Windows PE rescue media works just fine, but I do understand that this will not always be the same for other users or different types of PC's etc.
If you only want a Linux based bootable rescue media without installing the main ATI application, then I would suggest looking at Clonezilla

I completely agree with you.
I wrote about this error to technical support on September 6, 2020.
