After upgrading to True image 2021, backup to Acronis cloud fails

Hello everyone,

I have been using Acronis true image for the past few years to backup and upload a few of my files to the acronis cloud. This is as basic as it sounds, 12pm everyday -  files from my windows PC are backed up to cloud - that's it!

I upgraded my True image from the 2020 version to 2021 3 days ago. Ever since then, my daily routine backup fails with the following message "Access to the file is denied". As a matter of fact, even if I try to 'manually' start the backup, I get the same error message.

I've checked if any of the file directories are indeed not accessible with file explorer, but all of them are accessible.

So far, I've tried the following mitigations - but to no success:

1. Sign out and sign in to the application and attempt to run the backup.
2. Disable the firewall for a while and attempt to run the backup.
3. Renew Cloud Certificate and run the backup.

Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

PS:

As mentioned, I'm using a windows PC (64 bit 10 Pro) - with all the latest updates. The antivirus SW is Bitdefender antivirus plus.

The files that are uploaded to Acronis cloud are doc, pdf, pst, ppt, xml files.

Cowletable, welcome to these public User Forums.

Please download a copy of the new MVP Assistant log viewer tool and use this to review the backup_worker log for your Cloud backup task, as this should help identify what file cannot be accessed, which in turn should help determine how to resolve this problem.

Link to the tool is in my signature via the Community Tools page.

Hi Steve, thanks for the warm welcome and sharing your feedback..

FYI: I was able to 'fix' the issue myself... I had a network folder selected as one of the folders to be backed up. For whatever reason (although the network folder was accessible via file explorer), Acronis could not 'find' it. I unchecked this network folder and voila - the backup worked!

After this, I went back to the acronis source selection menu -> rechecked the network folder -> again voila - the backup worked this worked time!

Glad you were able to resolve this!  Thanks for sharing your feedback.
