Antivirus Email protection

Thread needs solution

I've been searching around and cannot find a definite answer.  Does the antivirus protection provide scanning of incoming and outgoing emails?  I don't really want all this cyber stuff but since I have it I might as well use it.  We currently use AVG for virus control and email scanning.

David, this possibility was not discussed during beta testing. There is nothing to suggest it does so. Something for me to investigate tomorrow. Getting late in time zone +10

David, from looking at some of the new CyberProtect logs on my own computer, I see that the new ATI 2021 Realtime protection feature is scanning the email files used by my Mozilla Thunderbird client as these are being added or updated on disk.

Whether this will apply to how other email programs work will depend on how mail is stored on the local disk.

If you already have AVG as your primary security / antivirus application, then ATI 2021 should not be replacing it regardless of any messages that Acronis may post on the Protection page in the ATI GUI (unless you as the user make that decision).
