ATI 2021 DVD boots into Acronis but the app seems to hang after one mouseclick

Thread needs solution

I downloaded the ISO to burn a bootable DVD with the ATI 2021 backup/restore program and made the dvd.

It boots and starts the ATI app, but after having selected the sources to be backed up, ATI responds to every next mouse click with just a beep!

The app hangs and to me it looks like this is caused by the network part that tries to find a network.

My ATI 2020 boot dvd just works fine!

I have two identical HP ProBooks 450G7; both respond the same way.

Any suggestions what I can do to make the ATI2021 dvd work too?

Martin, welcome to these public User Forums.

The ISO file available for download uses a Linux kernel OS which is known to have some limitations due to the way in which Linux itself works!

If you downloaded that ISO file a while ago, then you should try the latest build #39184 version which was released last week and which other users are saying has fixed similar issues to your report above.

Assuming that you have ATI 2021 installed on your HP ProBook, then I would recommend using the Acronis Rescue Media Builder to create the 'Simple' WinPE version of the rescue media which will use the files from your Windows Recovery Environment along with device drivers for your specific hardware.

Hi

I had this issue also, but this seemed to be that the exhaustive drive-search was SO long that it 'seemed' to hang. Be VERY patient...
