Authentication Settings - Constantly says

Thread needs solution

I have an issue where I really need to restore backups. I have a prior backup at \\10.0.100.150 but Acronis Says "Connection Failed". When I got to the UNC path, my credentials work. This is an ESXi VM that I have mapped through active directory. I know for a fact I can see the share and access it. Acronis is the only item that apprently is unable to do such a basic thing. Worse - I don't even get a rudimentry understanding of why this is failing. I did reasearch and the registry keys that are supposed to be deleted to "refesh" the SMB connections are no longer valid in 2021. I even blew away windows to remove any notion that settings in windows were at fault. How do I even go about diagnosing this issue. I even made the samba share public with no authentication needs at all.

Ryan,

Are you doing this inside booted Windows or in booted WinPE recovery media?

The IP address you post is normally used in on a corporate network but that should not matter really.

Have you tried using backslash rather than forward slash in your path statement? Example //10.1.100.150/

Either way you should get a credentials popup asking you to authenticate.  Are you getting the credentials prompt, inputting your credentials, and then when ticking the Test Connection button you are getting the Connection Failed message?
