Auto-renewal obfuscation is incredibly annoying
From checking my account profile a couple weeks ago, there was no indication whatsoever I was on an auto-renewing subscription. None. It looked I had to manually renew from what I could tell, which is what I wanted as I don't have the money to renew right now. Then today, I get an invoice in my e-mail out of nowhere. It seems the only way to cancel the auto-renewal is to fine the original e-mail where I purchased it last year, which I just did.
I put in ticket demanding the charge not be processed. Fair warning: if you guys complete that charge to my checking account through this slimy, deceptive practice, I'm done with Acronis forever and will recommend my friends stop using your product as well.

They promptly refunded me, which I appreciate. And I intend to purchase True Image again when I have the money, but only the standalone perpetual license next time.
The subscription service design used here is ridiculous. With any other service I could at least see in my account profile very clearly that I was setup with auto-renewal. I don't think it's too much ask to be able to clearly see in my Acronis Profile that my checking account will be charged on that date, lol. If a customer can go check in advance like I did and still think they aren't going to be charged when their current subscription expires, that is a dysfunctional system in my opinion. They should really fix that and soon.

I have been caught several times with automatic subscription renewals; in each case Ekaterina has sorted it out quickly. Unless you want the Cloud storage, then a perpetual licence is often the best approach; you can then upgrade every 3 years or so (an if you time the purchase correctly do so at good price - Black Friday and Cyber Monday usually have deals with as much as 50% off. If you already have an ATI perpetual licence (any version) you qualify for the upgrade pricing which is invariably a better price.
