Backing up PC files to WD MyCloud Mirror in original (not *.tib) format

Thread needs solution

I am using Acronis True Image for Western Digital, version 2020, Build 34190, license is active unil 17.12.2025

I have downloaded free version from Acronis web-site as advised by Western Digital (as software WD SmartWare was decommissioned).

Question: Does Acronis is able to copy (back up) selected files from my PC folders to WD MyCloud Mirror file by file, not in encoded format (*.tib files) so I can have an easy access to these files from WD MyCloud Mirror remotely (without decoding).

Previous software WD SmartWare did it exactly as I questioned - without encoding in internal format, just original files.

Thank you.

Dmitriy, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry, the answer is NO! - All ATI backups are compressed and stored in container files using the .tib or .tibx file extension depending on the type of backup being used.

You will need to use a synchronisation program to mirror your files to your WD box, or you can use the integrated Windows RoboCopy tool in a batch file.
