Backup to Netgear Readynas shared folder

Thread solved

I did a quick search and can't seem to readily find the answer. I'm about to purchase Acronis TI 2021 but need to verify that I will be able to backup my PC to a shared folder on my netgear readynas

Over the years there have been posts from users using various Netgear NAS with ATI. I have no experience with such products; I use a Synology NAS

Patrick, before you purchase ATI 2021, download a 30-day trial copy of it and give it a run to test for yourself that it will work with your Netgear NAS.

Like Ian, I also have a Synology NAS and have been using multiple versions of ATI with this for the past 4 or 5 years with no issues, plus also use an older WD MyBook NAS occasionally.

See KB 2768: Trial version limitations of Acronis products for more information.

Patrick,

You should not have issue with using the ReadyNAS with ATI.  You say that you are using a shard folder to backup to so I would say that your shared folder appears under This PC in Windows Explorer.  If that is the case then that folder will appear under This PC in ATI as well and it will just be as simple as selecting that folder in ATI to backup to it.
