backup stalled -- "queued"

Thread needs solution

Acronis 2021 latest build.  working normally until today.  I do a daily backup to an internal drive -- all is well (so far).  I do a weekly backup to an external drive.  As of today it won't start.  Status shows as "queued" and it never starts.  I just did an extra daily backup -- worked as usual.  External drive shows normal including last week's backup.

Ron, welcome to these public User Forums.

If a backup shows in 'queued' status it normally indicates that ATI is already performing another operation and the backup is queued to wait that first task completing.

If you are able to start other backup tasks without issues, then it would suggest that the problem task has got itself in a confused state!

The options if the above is correct are:

Remove the problem backup task using the Delete option but selecting only to remove the task settings, then use the 'Add existing backup' option to create a new task entry based on the most recent backup file.  Add existing backup is hidden behind the caret 'v' to the right of the normal '+ Add backup' option at the bottom of the panel.

Using the Acronis Scheduler Manager tool to remove all scheduled task entries then reset the schedules for each task via the normal ATI GUI panel Options settings.  Link below.
