Backup task execution failed - the file is corrupted

Thread needs solution

I am at my wit's end trying to get my son's Microsoft Surface Laptop to finish a backup.  It used to backup fine, but starting a couple of weeks ago, it won't finish without error.  I have two other Microsoft 10 systems that backup over WiFi in the exact same way (with MUCH larger hard drives) and don't ever get an error.

Here is what I see in the email True Image sends me.  What file is corrupted?  Is it saying the "c:\jenkins_agent\" file is corrupted?

David, sorry for not seeing your topic until today, would guess it has been held up for moderation?

What type of backup are you making here?  Is it a Disks & Partitions backup or a Files & Folders backup?

The log snippet above doesn't tell us anything helpful here - c:\jenkins_agent\ is an internal application program reference left in by the developers, not a location on your PC.

There is a new MVP Assistant log viewer tool that has now been made available by Acronis via the Community Tools page..

If you have Disks & Partitions backups created on ATI 2020 or later using .tibx files, then look in the Backup Worker logs.

If you have Files & Folders backups using .tib files (or Disk backups from earlier versions using .tib files) then look in the Demon logs.

Other logs are shown by the MVP Assistant under the 'Active Logs' heading of the Log Viewer page of the Assistant.

The log files should be zipped to preserve their original file names if sharing in the forums and would need to be less than 3MB in size, otherwise you would need to share the zip file via a Cloud share service such as OneDrive, Dropbox etc.
