Big Sur - Kernel extensions and hanging

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded my MBP 16" to Big Sur.

The menu bar Acronis icon is now warning me "To protect your Mac fully, install the latest kernel extensions in True Image".

In True Image 2021, I don't see any option to do this.  What is worse is when I click on the "Protection" tab, the app hangs and I get the beach ball.

I can't regain control of my machine until I go into the terminal and kill -9 a bunch of Acronis processes.

I tried to open a support ticket, but the suggestion of generating a support file proceed a 100MB+ file, and the ticket interface won't let you upload anything bigger than 25MB.  Fail.

Ryan, welcome to these public User Forums.

Caveat: I am a Windows user with no direct experience of using ATI on any Mac.

I can only recommend raising this question in the dedicated ATI for Mac Forum where other experienced Mac users should be able to provide better answers.

Acronis Support will provide an FTP address and credentials for uploading large System Report files when requested for support tickets.
