Burning DVD Did Not Work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tried twice to save the file by burning it to a DVD and it would not load.
The same thing happened to the rescue disc as well.
What is going on??????????????

Mr Smith, sorry about the poorly worded post.
I wanted to save the "Acronis True Image 2021" download
to a DVD. Is this allowed or possible?
I had the same issue with the Acronis rescue download. I placed
it onto a DVD, however, when I tried to boot the DVD, all that happened
was the PC boot listings. It is called "media."
Very frustrating, to say the least.

Ok, I see that one has to open the so-called "media builder" and
install all types of software to get to the point of burning a simple DVD
with a boot.
Heavens, if I knew this was going to be an eight hour project, I would
have pass on your software.
I am not sure whether or not, I will give a favorable review of Acronis
on my varies tech websites.
Why is it necessary for the layman, to have to figure out these steps,
to perform a simple DVD burn?
EDIT: I finally got the "rescue media builder" file open but twice I
encountered could not write it because of an error "device is busy."

Hans, if you are downloading the latest AcronisTrueImage2021_35860.exe application installer file and just copy this to a DVD, then you have exactly that, an .exe file stored on DVD media, which will never be bootable. The file is intended to be launched from within Windows in order to install the application.
For the AcronisTrueImage2021_35860.iso file, again if you just copy this to a DVD, the same applies. You need to use another tool in order to burn any .ISO (optical disc media image) to either a DVD or to a USB stick. I have tended to use CDBurnerXP to burn such media to CD or DVD media, or else have used Rufus to convert ISO images to USB stick media.
The alternative here, for the Acronis Rescue Media, is to use the Acronis Rescue Media Builder tool which can create both DVD or USB media directly from the application.

I guess that you fall into the same behaviour that is common to most 'techie' users, which is to do whatever you think might be the right process first, find it doesn't work and as a last resort go find the user manual! I speak from personal experience of my own here, so please do not take any offence! I spent over 30 years in technical support dealing with users before retiring. The key saying was 'R.T.F.M' (Read The Full Manual) though other words were often used instead of 'Full' which I leave to your imagination!
See KB 65508: Acronis True Image 2021: how to create bootable media and KB 59877: Acronis True Image: how to distinguish between UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes of Acronis Bootable Media
If you are new to using ATI 2021, then I would recommend actually reading some of the initial chapters / sections of the ATI 2021 User Manual as these give a good high level overview of how the application works and can be used.
One further / final comment. The .ISO version of the Acronis Rescue Media is a generic Linux based media which has various limitations imposed by the version of Linux (BusyBox) that is used. This is provided for users who need such media when they do not have a working PC to use to create the recommended Windows PE version of the media.
Acronis started to move away from using Linux rescue media back with ATI 2018, in line with other competitor applications, as described in KB 65508 referenced above, as this can be created from the Windows Recovery environment and thus pick up specific device driver support for the actual devices installed, along with such as BitLocker support etc.
There is no downloadable version of any WinPE rescue media due to Microsoft licensing rules - this has to be created by the user on their own PC('s).

Thank you, Mr Smith for the lengthy reply. I shall follow your advice and
links. Moreover, based on previous council, I will only install backups.
BTW, I read installation instruction wherever, I find myself ignorant; which
is frankly quite frequently.
I appreciate your skilled and timely expertise.

I have now DVDs boot rescue dics for both MS and Linux; True Image as well.
I also installed, as required, Windows auto Install Kit [AIK]: I
can not find your page which had that data.
Are there anymore download required for this OS 7?
It is the only thing that is holding up the backup.

Hans, what exactly are you trying to do here? If you have created the Acronis rescue media, then you have the stand-alone Acronis True Image application on that media that can be used to both create Backups, Clone and Recover backup images.
The WAIK or Windows 10 ADK & PE components are only needed if you are creating the Advanced options for Acronis rescue media, which provide the same stand-alone application but with some extra options for device support.
If you are still using Windows 7, then you could use either the WAIK or the Win 10 ADK & PE kits but only if you need these.

Mr Smith, I created three discs, one for MOS and Linux. And yes, also the stand-alone, which had multi functions.
I believe I am in good shape and in a day or two, will proceed with the three backups. Then as suggested, I will back test to make sure they function. I saved the instructions so I know what the hell I am doing [R.T.F.M]. I had a good laugh regarding the "F" thought. :<))
I'm hoping all goes well and I can leave you in peace.
