Can not select browse for back up

Thread needs solution

Hi- I am new to Acronis.  I have two WD drives, a WD My Cloud and a new WD My Cloud Home.   When I go to create a back up the WD Home does not show up and the browse option is gray out and I can not select it.  Any suggestions on how I can get the back up to recognize the Home and not just the older My Cloud.

Somehow your post ended up in the Forum Administration area rather than specific produce area.

Please advise the Acronis product and build you are using - form the moment I will assume you are using TrueImage 2021, build 39216. Also, what operating system are you using; for example Windows 10 x64 Version 20H2 build 19042.928.

What type of backup are you trying to create; WholePC (I do not recommend using WholePC), Disks and Partitions, or Files and Folders.

As I understand it, both devices are connect to a local network and not attached to individual computers by USB or thunderbolt. 

For reasons I will not go into, Acronis does not recognize that some NAS are NAS; in that case they appear under Network. Normally you should also be able to find it by its device name; for example for my Synology NAS I use the default name DiskStation; so I manually insert the device as \\DISKSTATION\ as a shortcut; however you say that the browse option is greyed out. It would be useful if you could include a screen shot show what you are seeing.
