Can the "True Image 2021 Bootable Media" be installed on the same disk where the master backup is stored?

Thread needs solution

Can I create a "True Image 2021 Boot Disk" on the same disk I previously created the master backup on?

What is the best strategy for creating a Boot Disk?

Robert, welcome to these public User Forums.

First question: what disk have you used to create your master backup on?  Is this an external USB drive, and if so, what size is it?

The Windows ADK and PE Kits are only needed if you cannot create rescue media using the 'Simple' method of the builder tool.  That method finds all the WindowsPE files it needs from your Windows 10 Recovery tools partition without needing the ADK etc.

The option to create a Survival Kit is only offered when you are creating a new Disks & Partitions (or Entire PC) type backup task and are setting the Destination for the task to a suitable external USB drive that can be used for this purpose.
