Can USB Drive be Safely Ejected

Thread solved

It has been reported in this forum that a bug in the initial release of ATI 2021 would prevent a USB drive from being ejected in the normal manner (via the Windows system tray icon). Other information in this forum seems to call into question whether this bug was, in fact, fixed in ATI 2021 Update 1.

I have a new USB external drive that I am hesitant to connect to my Windows 10 computer until I am certain whether this bug has been fixed in Update 1. I will not go into my sad story about why this is a big concern for me.

Has this bug, in fact, been fixed in Update 1?

Bill, I am able to safely eject my own USB drives since the ATI 2021 #32010 update was installed though I did still have some problems doing so initially before also setting the removal policy for my drives in Device Manager. I have been using safe eject multiple times successfully today and over the past recent days due to testing I have been doing for another topic in the forums.

Steve,

Thank you for your quick answer to my question.
