Cloning the operating system
To clone the operating system from HDD to SSD, you have selected cloning the system disk (700 GB) with the exception of data (disk D 510 GB). The recalculation lasted for more than 2 hours and the cancellation was selected, but it also lasts for more than 1 hour. Whether it is possible to simply close the program (remove the task in the task manager) Will not damage the operating system. Can I suggest anything else or comment on it?

Are you saying you are trying to clone a 700 GB system disk to a 240 GB SSD? That won't work.

after the exception, Acronis has to recalculate and it took hours, so I had to cancel everything, but the cancellation was delayed... Is it possible to just close the program, will it damage my operating system?..

and the main question now is whether I can simply close the program during the preparation of cloning at the stage of excluding files, before starting cloning? Will this damage the operating system on the source disk

I've read that using the system cloning can damage the source OS.
So I advise you to make a backup of a C: partition, and then restore it on a new drive. If I understand correctly, partition backups are made on a sector (or block) basis, so it will make a 1:1 copy.

Are both partitions on the same physical disk? If they are then you cannot clone as you are thinking.
Cloning is making a copy of one complete disk to another complete disk. If you wish to only copy a single partition then you need to backup the partition and then restore that partition to a new disk.
If this is an OS disk then other non-lettered partitions are likely needed to make a bootable disk so that partition C: will boot.
