Cloud Backup fails unless application is running

Thread solved

Hello, I am fairly new to cloud backup and I already have the backup established although I had to leave the PC on for five days. Now it just takes less than an hour every weekday afternoon at 2PM.

I have been keeping an eye on it and it does not automatically run as claimed unless the application is live so I have now created a schedule to run the AcronisTrue Image every afternoon at 1:55PM.

Is this normal? I am asking here because I could not find any reference in the help file.

Barry, welcome to these public User Forums.

It isn't normal for the ATI application to need to be open for the backup to the cloud to run, it should run in the background and resume itself as needed if the PC is restarted.

One check point: ATI should always be installed from and run using an Administrator level account.

If necessary, you should do a Repair Install from an Administrator account - see KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings - for details.

Thank you so much Steve for confirming that.

It's no big deal to schedule the ATI so at least it's working but I recall I did install as administrator.

I will take your advice and do a Repair Install as Admin and see if anything changes.

Cheers for now.
