Create VHD results in empty file

Thread needs solution

I am using the Convert to VHD function. This is on a backup (full with 3 incrementals). I choose the incremental i want, and create the VHD file

The file is created -- it is some 30GB in size (which is about right, this is a test machine with little on it). I double click the VHD file to mount it -- windows 10 mounts it.

But there are no files in it at all that i can see.

What am I doing wrong here?

Jon, welcome to these public User Forums.

What version of ATI are you using here?  Is it ATI 2021 as per this forum?

What type of backup image file are you converting to VHD?  Is it a .tib or a .tibx file?
If a .tib, was this created as a Disks & Partitions backup file?

I have tested converting one of my own Windows 10 backup .tibx files to .VHDX and this completed fine and I could just double-click on the .vhdx file in Explorer, which then mounted the main C: partition to a new drive letter (H:) and opened Explorer to show all the folders and files with no issues.
