Full system backup sheduled. Differential system backup done.
Hello everyone.
I'm back with a new problem ;-)
Since one week, i'm waiting about Acronis help ...
On a new PC (Windows 10 Famille), and Acronis 2021 :
I've scheduled full system backups (ones a week).
The problem is : Acronis performes differential backups !
I've re-installed Acronis, but it's the same.
Pictures are better than words ...
Thanks for your help :-)

Bonjour Stéphane,
Looking at your images, I suspect that there is a coding error for the message being shown in the Activity panel of your backup task.
The right hand column on the Activity panel confirms that a Full backup has been performed: (Method Complete).
The validation message above the backup complete entry looks to be given in error as if the backup had been a differential backup rather than validating a full backup image.
If you double-click on any of the backup image files (.tibx) then this should show the contents of the full backup, rather than showing differential content.
Another way of checking is to use the 'Clean up versions' tool which will also show what type of actual backup was created.

Hi Steve.
Happy to meet you again :-)
You will see on the next picture, what Windows explorer shows when I double click on a backup (this one is saved on an internal HDD, but the problème is the same).
Tomorrow, I will make a screen shot of the cleanup versions tool.
Thanks for your help :-)

Hi Enchantech.
Thanks for your answer :-)
Please, see the new screen shots in the answer to Steve. (3rd and 4th pictures). Do you think it's "normal" ?
With Acronis 2020 and before, it was different (see the following picture, but I know that you know ;-).
Best regards.
Stéphane

Hi Steve, Hi Enchantech, Hello everybody.
Finally, it seems that they are complete backups. The size of each backup matches with a complete backup size.
Acronis has answered some of my questions.
The name of system backups has changed. It's no more my_backup_full_bxxx_s1_v1 , but my_backup, my_backup_0001, etc, and the format is now tibx instead of tib.
But others problems (or misunderstanding on my part) remain. I'm waiting about Acronis answser.
I will tell you.
Have a good day.
Stéphane

Hi Steve.
I've tried what you suggested to me.
1st picture : Here is what is shown when I double click on a complete backup. Before Acronis 2021, there was only one backup. Now, it's 2 or 3 ... I've asked Acronis if it is normal or not.
2d picture : Here is an other problem or misunderstanding on my part : this is shown when I try to use the Clean Up Versions tool.
3rd picture : Clean Up Versions is not possible (?) with a network location. (MYCLOUD-EJHSK1 is a Western Digital network hard drive).
Thanks for your help :-)
Stéphane

Hi Stéphane,
Your images show a known issue with the Recovery panel not showing any recovery data even though the task has been run successfully and has created backup images!
To resolve this known issue, try using the 'Add existing backup' option to select the most recent backup file created by the task, which should cause the Recovery panel to be populated correctly.
If the above doesn't help, then go into Explorer and navigate to where your backup .tibx files are stored, then use the right-click menu option to Validate the backup image, which again should help correct this issue.
The lack of information in the Clean up versions tool is another aspect of this same issue! If the main panel doesn't find any Recovery information, then the Clean up tool doesn't either!
The Clean up versions tool does work with network backup destinations normally.

I concur with Steve's assessment. The recommended steps he gives should correct the behavior as the metadata used for tracking recovery points should update fixing the issues.

Hi Steve, Hi Enchantech.
Thanks for your help :-)
'Add existing backup' has solved the "problems".
All is clear now (I hope, I'm not sure that the "connection" to the network hard drive is very reliable. If it's not, I will be back again ;-)
Best regards.
Stéphane
