How big is your Schedule2 log file
As a result of the new Protection features, there is a task that runs every five minutes to check for updates. Even if all protection is turned off this task runs. The result can be a flood of messages in the Schedule2 log. And if there is a problem with the connection to the Acronis servers, there are continual retries.
The results of this can be many megabytes a day of log data.
The scheduled task can be deleted or disabled, but it can come back by the UI so there is no permanent disabling.
The logs are in C:\ProgramData\Acronis\Schedule2

Bruno,
My log has entries from as far back as 08/12/2017 up to and including 09/29/2020. This is on my laptop which I am using on travel currently. I upgraded ATI on this machine to 2021 prior to leaving home but have not used the app yet during my travels.
Size on disk of the folder shows as 7.82 MB for 396 files.

I have one that in four days generated 61MB. I'm pretty sure I didn't have the internet connected so it was logging continual failed task attempts.
If all goes well, there's probably about 1 to 1.5MB per day just looking for protection updates.

Definitely something amiss on my system. I rebooted and in less than an hour it's grown to 700KB. I'm also getting the feedback box loading the UI. Time to reinstall and see if that helps.

Mine totals 192MB on the system I am using at the moment; there is one file that is 188MB from Thursday last week - could be explained by internet outage on Thursday morning - the files seem to be removed after a week (at least on this PC). I checked on another PC and it was only 9.7MB, going back to 18/09/20; on another PC it was 82MB, but only goes back to Sunday.
Not sure if this information gets us anywhere.
Ian

Hello Everyone,
I'll clarify with the developers what we consider the normal size for the scheduler logs and post an update here
