Is this an image backup?

Thread solved

This is an embarrassing question. Are the attached screenshots of a full image backup. I've been using Acronis for years and should know this.  So, using rescue media, will this restore my full system (just that drive, of course)?  I also have clones of the system drive.  So is everything on a clone the same as the backup?  It seems to be all there (all partitions).

Somehow, the more I read made it sound as if an image backup was something more than what I have here.

Thanks

Dave

David, welcome to these public User Forums.

Yes, your screen images are showing that you have created a full Disk & Partitions backup image of your main Windows OS NVMe SSD drive that contains all that would be needed to recover that drive.

A clone of the same drive would be identical to a backup image if both were created at the exact point in time.  The disadvantage of using clone is simply that this will always be a manual, one-off action and requiring the full use of the target drive used to clone to.  In contrast, using backup allows for regular scheduled backups to be performed and stored on the same backup drive to provide multiple points in time for recover choice.
