Incremental Backup

Thread needs solution

Hi.

I'm new to Acronis. If i'm making incremental backups and have made several already, isn't  there any way to look at the files that were backed up on any particular day. It looks to me like the the files can be arranged by date, by not by the date of the backup. This would be a very useful feature, and maybe I'm missing something.

Thanks

Martin, welcome to these public User Forums.

Unfortunately, there is no specific method to only see the changed files that were included in any particular incremental backup file.

Please submit Feedback directly to Acronis (use the tool provided in the GUI Help section) and ask for your vote to be added to the Acronis internal feature request TI-160287 Show the list of file saved in an incremental\diff backup,

Actually, when viewing (under restore) a specific backup all the files changed or added can be seen if you sort by date. This makes those added new files or changed files apparent.

Martin,

The issue here is that for incremental backup methods each file that is produced is rolled into the original Full backup on which each incremental is based.  So there is no way to drill down into and incremental backup file to see the files that were changed by that incremental backup.

I think you can at least look at the incremented files by date

There is a product out there called Cobain Gravity. which seems to do exactly what I want. It makes incremental backups, etc, and the files incremented on a particulars day are listed by themselves.

It's a free program - does it all!

Okay, that's fine.  If you need that functionality then by all means use the app that provides it.
