No audio after cloning HDD to SSD

Thread needs solution

Hello. So I cloned my HDD (shows up in Device Manager as HGST HTS545032A7E3800 SCSI Disk Device) to my new SSD (Crucial BX500 480GB, MDL: CT480BX500SSD1, FW: M6CR022) using True Image for Crucial.

The clone was done flawlessly -- it boots and it boots fast.

The only problem I have encountered so far is that there is no audio. The audio icon in a tray is showing red circle with X in it and the popup says "No audio output device is installed".

The OS is Windows 7 Ultimate. The laptop model is Lenovo B590.

I have already googled this problem and tried everything from several sources.

I updated the audio drivers, no avail.

I tried to update the chipset driver, but audio drivers already updated the chipset, and to a newer version than the standalone chipset driver.

If this is the wrong part of the forum I'm sorry, please guide me to the right place.

Thanks to everyone in advance!

The audio works in the HDD system. I just installed the HDD back and it boots and the audio works no problem.

If you need any screenshots or additional information let me know, I will provide anything necessary.

From Windows Device Manager locate the audio device.  Click on the device to select it then click on the Action tab and select Uninstall device.  On the next screen select uninstall device but do not uninstall drivers.  After the process completes reboot the machine.

Once the machine is rebooted Windows should discover New hardware and should prompt you to install the new device.  Follow the prompts to do so.  After this step is complete your audio device should be working again.
