Only install/run TIB Mounter Service?

Thread solved

Hi!

I have a machine on which I'd like to just be able to mount .tib and .tibx images.

After installing ATI 2021 there, that machine, which has restricted internet access, is constantly swarming with 10+ processes (adp-agent.exe, updater.exe, tib_mounter_service.exe, syncagentsrv.exe, schedhlp.exe, schedul2.exe, anti_ransomware_service.exe, TrueImage.exe, mms_mini.exe, task-manager.exe, aakore.exe), and bursts of updaters trying to connect to the internet, failing, closing and reopening again nearly 50% of the time.

On that machine, I don't need any of the active services, just the image mounting service.

How can I achieve a minimal setup for this?

Thanks :)

Nonoff, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but you cannot do a selective / minimal install of ATI 2021 - it will always install all of the background services and processes.

There are some that you can disable in the Services control panel by changing the service start setting from Automatic to Disabled, but even if you do this for the new Protection features, Acronis will ignore the setting!

Thank you for the quick reply! :)

Do you mean windows' services.msc utility?
I guess I'll try that approach and see what sticks.

It's not hugely important, but I had to ask and see if there was such a thing as a minimal installation for image mounting.

Thanks again, and have a nice day!

Non

Non, yes to the Services.msc utility.
