Procedure to get refund

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I paid for Acronis 2020 in August - since then it managed to create one (1 !) back-up and never ever again. Several errors, several tickets, live chat, upgrade to 2021, different external hard drives and in November still no functional back-up solution. This corporate support setup is helpful to hide any useful support or contact. I am more than dissapointed. Where is the description how to deinstall the software, delete abo and get the money back? It would be awesome if someone could point me there. I assume Acronis dont want to go to court for every non-working installation.

Thx in advance.

Andrea, welcome to these public User Forums.

To uninstall ATI 2020 just go to the Windows Control Panel and click on Programs & Features, or else open the Windows 10 Settings panel, then click on Apps to do the same.

Once you have done the above, the majority of the ATI data should be removed but it may leave behind the C:\ProgramData\Acronis folders with some task configuration and log data etc.  You could delete this once Windows has been restarted after the normal uninstall, or else you can download the Acronis Cleanup Tool (link below) and use this to remove any other remnants of Acronis programs.

In terms of refunds, Acronis normally only give a refund during the first 30 days after purchase but if you have never been able to get this working and have had open support tickets with Acronis, then you will need to contact them again to request the refund.
