Product Ideas - Attn Ekaterina
Why doesn't Acronis create a Linux Desktop version that could be used with just Linux clients and be either Windows, Mac, or Linux? Linux is free and even Microsoft is making Linux subsystem available as part of Windows. They are now requiring a Microsoft ID to install Windows on new computers. Many people don't want anything to do with Microsoft. If you made a product that could be installed interchangeable on the 3 platforms (i.e. 2 WIndows, 1 Mac, and 2 Linux) with one license and was reasonably priced (like ATI) you would get more revenue from sales. $300 for 3 clients is way to much for the Cyber Backup that families doing home schooling will pay. Time to think outside the box. And get rid of the bloated protection nonsense. It is decreasing the value of your product which had been stellar in the past.

+1 for a back to basics ATI 2021 without any Cyber Protection bundled!

The services active_protection_service.exe and cyber-protect-service.exe specifically are always installed together with the agent. We do have an incoming feature request to exclude Antimalware components from being installed (internal ID for reference RM-1409 Allow Agent installation without Antimalware components). I've added your feedback as a vote for this change, thank you!
I have asked for my vote to be added to this incoming feature request too!

Hello Everyone,
thank you for sharing your feedback and suggestions! Passed the comments to the product managers. As far as I know, currently there are no plans to develop a separate home product for the Linux platforms.
