RECOVERY

Thread needs solution

Hello guys I need help with recovering my backed up files onto a new drive.  I've been backing up my files to a wd nas drive then using acronis 2021 backing up the nas drive to another usb drive.  My first back up drive died so I bought another nas drive and want to recover the backed up files from my usb drive to the nas drive.  I also had to replace my computer drive and did a fresh install of acronis 2021 on the windows 10 system.  I start up acronis and it does not list anything in the back up list and doesn't show anything in the recovery tab, how do I recover my data thats on my usb back up to my new nas drive.

George,

In your circumstance you will need to "Add existing backup" to your fresh install of 2021 which essentially will import the backup task and files into the new 2021 application.  True Image scans only local disks for backup files and since your files are not local then they do not show up in the app.

In the app GUI look to the center column.  At the bottom of that column look for "Add backup".  Look to the right of that and you will see a carat "v".  Click that to expose the "Add existing backup" option which will produce an Explorer type window from which you can navigate to your backup files, select them, and add them to the app.  It is only necessary too select the most recent file in any backup task in import all files of the backup task.
