Restore Complete PC
I have been using Acronis True Image 2021 for about a year and have made several backups with no issues. Yesterday, I was having a problem with a program where entering text within it was very slow where in the past, the program has worked flawlessly. Even with an uninstall of the program and reinstall, the issue was still there. Today, I decided to do a restore from my USB Samsung solid-state 2TB drive. Started up Acronis within Windows, went to the backups, selected the one I wanted and then clicked on the restore tab. Clicked on the restore button for complete PC and then Windows restarted. At a blank screen, it says that the UEFI loader was loaded and quickly after this message, a few messages of hardware errors came up. The messages were so fast, that I couldn't fully read them. Afterwards, a dialog box assuming from Acronis came up where in its title bar said 'Preparing' and there was an hour glass. The status bar never moved from 0% and the hour glass remained continuously. I left it for over an hour and the dialog remains at 0% with the hour glass. I have tried another backup file and the result is the same. Can anyone provide some insight to what's going on in trying to a recover operation? If needed, I can set a camera on a tripod to capture the hardware error messaging issue. And I have no hardware issues as the computer works fine. Thanks for the help!

I agree with @Steve Smith that it is preferable to use the Simple recovery media that uses the PC's Windows Recovery Environment.

Terry,
Your request will;
An Acronis acceptance dialog box was displayed with "Preparing" in the title bar and an hourglass. The status bar never moved from 0% and the hourglass remained continuous.
According to the ticket request to the support;
The main cause of the problem has been found. A fix will be implemented with the next update. Unfortunately, we do not have a date for the release of the update yet.
