System clone without VSS?
Dear all,
I have the following problem.
Whenever i create a clone or image i get the annoying VSS-errors. So to get around this i was thinking of removing mine system (boot-hd) and installing it as an external drive and use it thus on another computer and clone it there to another drive.
Will i with this setup get around the VSS-problem? Since the original boot-hd is now not active and just a normal external drive.
I also read when thus using the original boot-hd and making clones from there and turning VSS of and choosing Acronis snapshot, will not work ok if a system (boot) hd is involved? I don have any databases on mine system. Just a normal WIndows 10 os with applications, nothing extreme.
Is mine thought right? This is really annoying, because i have tried numerous backup-software all hang after a certain time. So i thought i give True Image a try, but also the same....and i really need the backup in case now something happens with mine system....
Thx :)

Hello Steve,
Got it solved, thx.
It was a combination of factors, too little diskspace, and chkdsk running from gui/cli, (gui did not reveal the exact error, the cli did it) so i could take specific action
So it took a little time, but all is working and besides having free backup tools which were dealing with the same problem and same solution, i did not regret buying True Image :)
Thx!
