TI 2021: Do I need to create new boot media?
Maybe the answer should be obvious but if I just upgraded from TI 2020 to TI 2021, do I have to re-create boot media? The product does not prompt for this to be done during or after upgrade that I can recall (correct me if I'm wrong). Or rather, when it starts showing me screens about the new Protection features, I hit the Skip button - perhaps on screen 5 or something it would say "btw, make new boot media". :),
Actually I would say this question also applies to Cyber Backup if anyone can answer that - I'd post in two forums but it seems most MVP's are familiar with all products.
Thank you!

If you find that the 2021 startup manager now resolves things like disk recognition that was being resolved by a WinPE bootable then you may want to create a new "regular" bootable recovery media too - and then test that it too handles the disk recognition.

The ASRM is fine if dealing with a restore / recovery to the same disk drive but is lost if you suffer from a total disk failure and have to do a bare-metal recovery to a new OS boot disk when you would definitely want to have a working Acronis Rescue Media boot disc or USB media.

Thanks guys. A follow-up question: is the boot media tied in any way to the machine itself or for example say I crecate a USB boot media on a customer's computer, give them the USB stick, then later if we had to restore we find his boot media doesn't work (failed USB drive). Can I just create one from the same software version, on any computer, and that should work? Or is there some custom serial # or what not that prevents the media from working universally?
Ignoring all the stuff about hardware compatibility, etc. etc., I just mean is the media itself generic enough that I can create one here on the same software version and use it elsewhere. Thank you again!

The USB rescue media is normally agnostic and should work on any computer providing it is created using the same architecture (64-bit / 32-bit).
WinPE rescue media should match the PC architecture where it is created but 32-bit media will work on 64-bit machines (not the other way tho!).
Linux rescue media will normally offer a choice of running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of ATI as shown in the first menu shown.
