TRUE IMAGE 2021 latency with Office 365

Thread needs solution

Hi,

After installing true image 2021 all application of office 365 are very long to be launched and to open a file. If I uninstall True Image 2021, Office 365 run correctly without latency.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards

Gerard, welcome to these public User Forums.

There should be no reason why installing ATI 2021 is causing issues with the performance of your Office 365 unless you are running more than one antivirus type application or the new Protection feature in ATI 2021 is running a full Vulnerability scan of your PC?

I do not have or use Office 365 so cannot compare directly with your scenario, but I do have Office 2019 that I use regularly without seeing such issues, though I also have all the Acronis Protection features 'turned off permanently!' in favour of using Windows Defender & Firewall.

Gerard,

You might try simply restarting your machine (select Restart from the Windows Power menu).  This simple process can sometimes fix the most annoying and perplexing issues.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your help.

@Steve Smith :  I use since few year True Image with Bitdefender without any problems. After installation of the first release of True Image 2021, Office 365 run fine. I have the problem only since the last release of True Image 2021. I have disabled the new Protection feature in ATI 2021 without result. Nevertheless and also in answer to @Echantech, I have relauched my PC after installation of others application. The behaviour is strange, now Outlook is launched more fasted, Word and Excel are launched most slowly. After uninstalling of True Image 2021, Office 365 run fine.

I don't unsterstand, where the problem is.

Gerard,

Have you signed into your MS account recently?  If not I would try that.  I have found that every so often with these subscription accounts you need to sign in to your account periodically to keep things working as they should.  Windows will sometimes tell you that there is a problem with your account and that is a sure sign that sign in is necessary.

I have not noticed any impact on Microsoft 365 as it is now called. But other than outlook I do not use it all that often.

If the problem persists you could try uninstalling 365, then do a restart, and reinstall 365. My recent experience is that all user settings are retained when doing this. I recently migrated from365 for business to family version. In particular all email settings and data were still there.
